Africa Photos

I thought these pictures were beautiful and powerful. I wonder if the photographer purposely took these photos in black and white so that the composition of the animal and the scenery could speak for itself.
My favorite photo:
(Photo taken by: Nick Brandt)
This photo is my favorite because of the emotion in it

Academic Photo Shoot

Simplicity:
I thought this could represent simplicity because the photo is focused on the student

Leading lines:
I chose this photo for leading lines because the lines on the parking lot take your attention to the dance team.

Unique perspective:
I decided to give my perspective for unique perspective, everyone has a different perspective, this is mine

Balance:
I thought this could represent balance because the main runners in the photo are evenly spaced with each other

Contrast:
The shirt of the guy on the table is in contrast with the color of the table

Rule of Thirds:

Repetition:

Quick Write My ideal vehicle

My ideal vehicle is a big orange truck thats eco friendly, with message chairs instead of seats, and runs on pollution in the air and then turns that pollution into lilies.

Academics and Community Service

http://issuu.com/jostens/docs/2012photos?e=4061883/1143151#/freeSignupNamePassword
I picked this photo because I liked the color and shapes in it. It has simplicity in that the focus is on the pink on top of a speaker instead of the person conducting the experiment, it also has a unique perspective.

Academics Shoot Preview

The Story:
I thought this one told a story about the homeless who are there in line and the students who took time to volunteer to feed them.

Action and Emotion:
The action is they're praying around the school flag pole and the emotion is in the way they are standing and holding hands as well as in the way the photograph is colored in a yellowish shade showing off the sun in the back, either a sunset or sunrise, to dramatize the photo.

Filling the Frame:
I thought this photo had a full frame because almost the entire scene is covered by the students and their project.

Quick Write: What are we following?

I follow Ricky Dillon and some other O2L members, Jenna Marbles, Bf vs. Gf, Bo Burnham, and Smosh.

Elements of Photography

Lines:
I took this photo to represent lines because the line of lights leads your eye to the registration sign

Value(contrast):
I took this photo to represent contrast because the orange paint is in contrast with the blue paper helping us to easier read the words
Simplicity:
I took this photo for simplicity because the only thing attracting your attention is the window

I took this photo for balance because the stairs are even on both sides

I took this photo for rule of thirds because the people are on the top right corner of the picture
I took this photo for repetition because there is a repetition in the bricks

I took this picture for unique angle/perspective because i don't normally see pictures on the wall like this

Quick write

I like this photo because of the humor and irony and also the colors of the peoples clothes. This picture uses repetition in the poses
